File
and card cabinets
We
guess the next story once took place in any office. There was
the urgent need to find some documents that could be contracts,
bills, dossiers, etc. And nothing actually reminded chaos: all
documents were filed and put together on the shelvings in a proper
way. But document retrieval required turning upside-down the cabinet
and laying heaps of documents on the table. In the end it takes
plenty of time and really stops the work. Of course, it's not
so important if there are not much of the documentation stored
and it's well known to employees. But as for banks, archives,
accounts departments where file quantity is estimated at hundreds
such a way of storage is not acceptable. That is why all big enterprises
that run large databases use file cabinets and card indexes.
File cabinets
File cabinet represents
metallic body that contains drawers intended for the storage of
A4 derny paper (width and height of the drawers correspond to
its sizes). Papers are stored not being put one onto another but
in the upright state in suspens on file. Equipped with little
hooks files are fixed on the longitudinal guides that the cabinet
is equipped with instead of walls. The width between them can
be adjusted in order to correspond with the dimensions of the
file.
Sliding mechanism of the case represents a
complicated three-sectioned telescopic arrangement. Due to the
use of this system a case can slide out full-length noiselessly
and never leaves its slot. There is also a key intended for the
protection of the values stored. One turn of which is enough to
lock all the cases.
Various models of file cabinets can contain
from 1 to 4 cases. Each of them stands the load of 50 kg and can
store about 50 files. For the convenience of document retrieval
each file can be labeled with the firm name or with the subject
of its contents.
Card cabinets.
There are simple card cabinets
designed by the same principle as file cabinets. The difference
lies in the fact that the cases of card cabinets are intended
for the storage of two rows of A5 derny cards. They are also equipped
with separators that provide easy document orientation. All the
types of cabinets mentioned above are produced by Western and
Belarusian manufacturers. Their production has stylish exterior
and smooth surface covered with powder paint. Distinctions are
concluded in the fact that one and the same case in a Western
cabinet can be adjusted to be used for the storage of papers of
different dernies in wider range than the Belarusian or Russian
one. Western case can be modified for the storage of envelopes
or photos by changing the guide spacing. Besides, Western producers
such as English "BISLEY" or Irish "AIKO" offer
cabinets not only of universal light gray hue, but also of all
rainbow colors: red, blue, yellow, green, etc (we supply them
only by request). In all other aspects the production of Belarusian
and Russian manufacturers doesn't differ from their Western analogues
neither by design, nor by fabrication method.
