Fixing of a crack-resistant safe to floor or a wall is obligatory.
However, as it is proved by the statistics majority of safe owners
follow this advice only with the purchasing of the next safe.

When purchased a safe you would receive two keys. One of them
should be hidden somewhere far from the safe. Never place it into
the safe that meant to be locked by this key! Though this statement
seems to be evident a lot of people listened to it and behaved
right conversely. Spend some time and be curious at the service
department how many people are inquiring about the loss of the
key. When they are asked about the second one the usual answer
would be like "Well, it is in the safe"..

There are also not less inquiries about forgotten code combination.
Try to associate code combination with something or write it down,
but in any case don't do it on the items that are situated near
the safe!

When choosing a safe you should follow the next rules:
- Estimated value of potential storage objects should exceed the
cost of the storage equipment not more than 10 - 50 times.
- Never put a paper with a written lock code or the key inside
the safe!

Safe is not panacea, but the element of security system. The room
where a safe is installed should be at least surely locked. The
optimum alternative or safety system combination looks like the
next scheme: a safe + metallic door + connection to the console
of a guarding system.

Fire-resistant safe isn't meant for the storage of money in large
denominations or valuable items made of precious metals. In the
opposite cases the additional protection is needed. It can be
anti-break-in safe, account or a cell in a bank.

Sometimes customers buy two anti-break-in safes. When installed,
one of them that contains nothing actually important and plays
a special role can be revealed certainly easier. Its main aim
is to divert thief's attention while all important and valuable
is kept in another hidden safe.

If you bought a safe, it is strongly recommended not to make a
show of it. It is much better when it will become a "nice"
surprise for an uninvited guest. Your silence will be a salutary
thing for your gold.
